BBB010 - Cuckoo - African Grey Parrot

Cuckoo is a 12 year old female African Grey Parrot. She arrived into rescue through no fault of her own, her previous owners were heart broken to see her go. Cuckoo has had a full diet transition and enjoys fresh chop, pellets and a healthy seed mis as a treat. Cuckoo has learned to love forage and this is her favourite pastime when cuddles aren't available. Cuckoo loves to sing and dance, will whistle when she is happy, occasionally talks but has proven she can learn new things by calling her safehouse dog. Cuckoo has bonded well to her safehouse mum but dislikes safehouse dad although has never bitten him. Cuckoo has historically been abused by a male so now requires a female as her sole and primary carer. Cuckoo is now ready to snuggle up in her new mummy's arms. She is fully disease tested, microchipped, vet checked and holds a valid A10 Certificate. Cuckoos Adoption fee is set at £450.00. Her current location is Tamworth.

Birds Currently Under Assessment

What does under assessment mean?

When birds arrive into rescue we ensure that they are seen by our qualified vet, are fully disease tested, microchipped, have been successfully transitioned onto a healthy diet, have the necessary permits such as CITES where required/possible and receive the needed training to ensure they are ready for their new home

This process takes time and is completely different for each bird.

If you notice a bird has been under assessment for some time this is because we feel the bird is not yet ready for rehome.

Please check back regularly and ensure you have passed your home check in advance of your desired bird becoming available.
